Use
Cut off the remaining strap ends
Sand the surface of the footpocket
Degrease with acetone
Glue the strap with just a few strokes of cyanoacrylate glue
Glue and press strongly for 6 to 7 seconds.
If the surface is not clean or if the footpocket is too old (cardboard feel), the gluing will not take.
