Lifesaving fins are essential for performing in rescue events, including sprints of approximately 200 meters and shorter distances involving manikin carries. These two types of events demand different rescue fins. For sprints, slightly longer fins are ideal, as they help you build speed and maintain it through the final stretch while keeping a high finning pace. Conversely, shorter and more powerful fins are better suited for manikin carries, providing quick activation to lift and transport the manikin as swiftly as possible.

If you prefer using only one type of lifesaving fins, opt for the shorter ones but choose a softer stiffness to ensure you can still perform well over longer distances, such as the 200-meter sprint.
